The Good, The Bad....And Sometimes Ugly
..Oh yea, and the Stupid

I am what you would call currently 'desk rich'. I found a desk at the thrift store today. It is wood and glass tops. Two levels and really big! It is just the right size for two desktops, monitors and the keyboard drawer is made for two keyboards. That is really GOOD. The old desk had drawers to hold junk. This one has no drawers but does have some small spaces built into the keyboard drawer to hold small stuff, pens clips etc; So now I am putting things from the desk in piles where I had piles that I moved to where I had piles that I.......never mind! That is really BAD! I seem to have acquired a desk for each room. I am getting rid of one. Either the wood with drawers, or the glass top thing in the guest room that holds a monitor the size of Rhode Island underneath so you look through the glass top to see it. Of course, if you have anything on top of the desk you can't see the monitor. Hmmmm. Design flaw maybe? The wooden one is now located in the middle of the dining room. That's really UGLY! That is why I decided to split my desk assets and dump one to increase the percentage of space which I have no doubt will soon be occupied by something else which I don't need. |

| W hy is there a scan of of a grocery receipt you ask? If you look closely you will see that I purchased 3 packs of Smithfield Bacon for $4.99 that were on sale for a $1.99 off of each. That makes the cost $3.00 each. At the bottom you will see that there were $3.00 off coupons attached to them. The clerk looked at the register and looked at me and we both laughed as she handed me the receipt for $0.00. I thought that was a really GOOD deal. I bought 2 more.

| The above photo is taken from my office door of the Harbour Grille Restaurant. This was at one time a very GOOD place for food and drink called Tugboat Annie's. A change of management and it went down hill, which was very BAD so the Marina decided to use the space to build a third dry storage building. Below is a shot of the same area now as they start tearing it down. It sure is UGLY! Hopefully not for very long. |

I recently decided to be a good citizen and go cyber with my banking to save paper. I received notice to go on line and print my statement. Page one had all the information I needed, checks, deposits etc. Page two (scan one) had a small paragraph telling me how I can save paper by using online statements. Page three was that useless page explaining how you can balance your account. I usually do that in my check book. The last page was a nice pic of the bank logo. See second scan. I checked today and it appears that I was not the only one that thought that this was incredibly stupid as they have changed it so everything is condensed and no page with just their logo. |

Anyone
who has ever worked in an office will recognize the picture below as Banker
Storage Boxes for file storage. This is a partial pic of an advertising
flyer that was included in a pack of boxes. Please note the inset circle
with the statement that there is a 'string and button for high security'.
Now, I know that I feel that those files are totally safe,don't you? 'Cuz
I know that no one will figure out the security without special training.
Subsequent
purchases of boxes do not have this flyer included.

| we recently had a visit to our fuel dock by a well known celebrity. Tommy Lee Jones was taking a very odd looking boat out for a sea trial and stopped to gas up. I did not know about it until it was too late to get a good picture. You will have to use your imagination on this one. The first pic Tommy Lee Jones is in the Blue shirt up top. The second pic has the paparazzi following them and video taping his every move. That must be really annoying! |
